Lisa! Awesome. That one made me kind of sad and happy at the same time - thinking of all we could have had from Jeff, but never got. I missed out on Jeff. Didn’t know he existed until it was too late (and he drowned in my home town while I lived there!), but with Ryan, I’ve gotten to see him play and hear his songs and read his poems.. let alone the blog. I think that CONNECTION is really what the silly fangirls want. Letting him know that we love what he does and we hold on too tight because we’ve lost others of similar greatness. Because this genius he has is a burden sometimes. But still, we want to absorb as much of that as we can handle. - SamWe always want what we can never have

I also missed out on Jeff Buckley. Though, Grace is still my favourite record, and Jeff is still my favourite singer. He had such a beautiful soul.
I loved JB and Nirvana long before I started listening to Ryan, so that poem is basically me saying to him, “learn from your mistakes, because those guys didn’t get a second chance”. I’m sure he already realises this, though.
It is amazing how close he was to losing everything.
